on the Scriptures Together
1
John 4:4-6
[4] Little children,
you are from God and
have overcome them,
for he who is in you
is greater than he
who is in the world.
[5] They are from
the world;
therefore they speak
from the world,
and the world
listens to them.
[6] We are from God.
Whoever knows God
listens to us;
whoever is not from
God
does not listen to
us.
By this we know the
Spirit of truth
and the spirit of
error.
Matthew
5:14-16
[14] You are the
light of the world.
A city set on a hill
cannot be hidden.
[15] Nor do people
light a lamp
and put it under a
basket, but on a stand,
and it gives light
to all in the house.
[16] In the same
way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see
your good works and
give glory
to your Father who
is in heaven.
