Chronicles 11:1-3
[1]
Then all Israel gathered together to David at Hebron and said,
“Behold, we are your bone and flesh. [2] In times past, even when
Saul was king, it was you who led out and brought in Israel. And the
LORD your God said to you, ‘You shall be shepherd of my people
Israel, and you shall be prince over my people Israel.’” [3] So
all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and David made a
covenant with them at Hebron before the LORD. And they anointed David
king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.
Matthew
9:27-31
[27] And as Jesus
passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have
mercy on us, Son of David.” [28] When he entered the house, the
blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that
I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” [29] Then
he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done
to you.” [30] And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned
them, “See that no one knows about it.” [31] But they went away
and spread his fame through all that district.
